The MMC fibre cable is equipped with an MMC connector, a Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) multi-fibre optical connector designed to terminate single-mode and multimode fibre cables up to 2.5mm in diametre. It employs novel TMT ferrule technology harmonised with the MT/MT-16 alignment structure. Individual connector access in the most extremely dense connector environments is easily accomplished using revolutionary DirectConec™ push-pull boot technology. The breakout cable aggregates multiple MTP®-8 connectors into an MMC-24 connector, streamlining infrastructure and helping optimise both space and network reliability. Therefore, MMC connectivity enables solutions that minimise the space required across multiple applications, including structured cabling, high fibre count data centre interconnects, and high-bandwidth applications.
